Immigrant Protection Teams
Immigrant Protection Teams, organized through Coloradans for Immigrant Rights (see below) are local, self-organizing teams that choose various aspects of pro-immigrant work to engage in.  Many are involved with advocacy, the Colorado Rapid Response Network and Know Your Rights trainings.  For more information, contact Dana Miller at pompomdana@gmail.com.

Casa de Paz
Casa de Paz has traditionally worked with immigrants who are released from the GEO detention center in Aurora. However, ICE is releasing very few people from detention now.  As a result, Casa de Paz primary areas for volunteer activity are now visiting people in detention and writing to people in detention.  For information on writing to people in detention, go to the Casa de Paz website at https://www.casadepazcolorado.org/cartas-de-paz.  For information on visiting people in detention, go here https://www.casadepazcolorado.org/visitation-program

BASIC
The Boulder Area Sanctuary and Immigration Coalition (BASIC) works to improve the lives of immigrants in the greater Boulder community, through advocacy, education, and the lifting of immigrant voices.  Their website has great listings of resources and opportunities for engagement:  https://boulderbasic.org/

Coloradans for Immigrant Rights
Coloradans for Immigrant Rights (CFIR), a project of American Friends Service Committee, organizes immigrants and allies striving for immigrant justice.  CFIR offers three modes of engagement to allies:  the Colorado Rapid Response Network (CORRN), which responds to ICE raids and to reports of ICE raids in local communities [ see https://www.coloradorapidresponsenetwork.com/ ]; the Court Accompaniment Network, which provides accompaniment to people going to Immigration Court [to sign up or learn more, fill out this form https://forms.gle/ncnewvNzKgDbtiKP6 ]; and regular meetings of CFIR volunteers who are working on these and other projects [to get information about CFIR meetings, fill out this form https://afsc.org/programs/colorado-immigrant-rights ]

Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition
The Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) is a statewide, membership-based coalition of immigrant, faith, labor, youth, community, business and ally organizations working to improve the lives of immigrants and refugees by making Colorado a more welcoming, immigrant-friendly state.  CIRC achieves this mission through non-partisan civic engagement, public education, and advocating for workable, fair and humane immigration policies.  They do work in a number of areas and their website has links to many valuable resources:  https://coloradoimmigrant.org/about/

Colorado Housing Asylum Network
The Colorado Housing Asylum Network (CHAN) supports asylum seekers by placing asylum seekers with volunteer teams to accompany them as they journey through their legal process. This includes hosting our guests in private homes, financially and materially providing for their initial needs until they receive their work permit, connecting them with the larger community and its resources, and emotionally supporting them as they work through their past and look to their future.  CHAN is not currently accepting new asylum seekers for placement but is accepting volunteers.  See the CHAN website at https://www.hostingasylum.org/
